1. Who we are and what these terms cover
This website, debtshiftai.com, is run by H Ali Logistics Ltd, a UK company (company number 17154525), trading as DebtShift. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “DebtShift” mean that company.
By using the site, including our guides and calculators, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. You must be 18 or over to use it.
2. What DebtShift is, and what it is not
DebtShift is an educational publisher. We explain how debt, credit and everyday money rules work in the UK and the US, and we offer free calculators.
We are not a debt adviser, lender, accountant, solicitor or financial adviser. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Nothing here is personal advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to take or avoid a particular action.
Your situation is different from anyone else’s, so please get advice before acting on something that matters. Free, independent help is available from StepChange, National Debtline and Citizens Advice in the UK, and from the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (nfcc.org) in the US.
3. Our calculators
- Results are estimates based on the numbers you enter and the assumptions shown on each tool. Real results will differ, for example because lenders calculate interest in different ways.
- If you enter wrong or out-of-date figures, you will get a wrong or out-of-date answer.
- Tools that show legal or eligibility outcomes, such as debt relief, bankruptcy or time limits on old debts, give general guidance only. A lender, court or insolvency practitioner makes the real decision.
- Please don’t enter names, account numbers, passwords or card details into any tool. We never need them.
4. Accuracy of our content
We check rates, thresholds, dates and legal rules against official sources and name those sources on the page. Each guide shows when it was last reviewed.
Even so, laws, fees and lender policies change, and mistakes can happen. We do not promise that every page is complete, current or free from error. If you spot a mistake, please tell us through the contact page. We will check it and correct it where needed.
5. Using the site properly
You agree not to:
- use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that could harm it or other users;
- try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site, its tools or its servers;
- use bots, scrapers or other automated methods to copy our content or tools at scale;
- pretend to be us, or suggest that we endorse you, your business or your product;
- send us spam, abusive messages or false information.
6. Our content and your use of it
The text, tools, design, graphics and code on the site belong to H Ali Logistics Ltd or are used with permission. They are protected by copyright and other laws.
You may read the site, use the tools for your own purposes, link to our pages, and quote short extracts with clear credit and a link to the source page. You may not republish, resell or copy our pages or tools in full or in large part without our written permission.
7. Links, advertising and sponsored content
The site links to other websites, such as GOV.UK, StepChange and the NFCC. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they say or do.
The site is free to use, and we pay for it through advertising. As the site grows, we may also use affiliate links, where we earn a commission if you sign up to a service, and we may publish sponsored content. If we do, we will label it clearly. Payment never changes what we say about debt rules, and we will not present an offer as free advice. Advertisements are provided by third parties, and showing one is not an endorsement.
8. Emails
If you join our email list, we will send you what you signed up for. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time. How we handle your details is explained in our Privacy Policy.
9. Our responsibility to you
The site and its tools are provided free and “as is”. We aim to keep them running, but we cannot promise they will always be available or error-free.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that result from relying on the site or its tools, including financial decisions, lost savings or lost opportunities, or for losses we could not reasonably have predicted.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any rights you have as a consumer under UK law.
10. Stopping access
We may suspend or block access to the site if you break these terms or misuse the site. You can stop using it whenever you like.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the law or the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after an update, you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can settle any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring a claim in your local courts. If you use the site from outside the UK, you are responsible for following your local laws.
