Questions
Are the DebtShift tools really free?
Yes. Every tool on this page is free to use, and none needs a login to get your results.
Which tool should I start with?
If you have two or more debts, start with the Debt Payoff Planner. If you only have one card and pay the minimum, start with the Minimum Payment Trap Calculator. If someone is chasing you, start with Know Your Rights.
Do the tools work in the UK and the US?
Most do, and you can switch currency where it matters. The Statute Barred Checker and the Bankruptcy and DRO Checker are UK only, because they cover UK law. Use the US filter above to hide them.
How accurate are the results?
They are estimates based on the numbers you enter. Our payoff figures work out interest month by month from your balance, rate and payment, so your statement may differ by a few pounds or dollars. The tools show what is likely, not a guarantee, and they are not financial advice.
Where can I get free help from a person?
In the UK, StepChange offers free advice on 0800 138 1111. In the US, the National Foundation for Credit Counseling lists nonprofit credit counselors at nfcc.org or on 877-360-6322.
Start with your debt-free date, then build your plan from there.
